The announcement was made on Monday by the French finance ministry and the anti-fraud authority.

The two institutions said in a press release that Google has changed its hotel rating practices after September 2019.

This is not the first time Google is punished in France where country’s competition watchdog has slammed the US tech giant with a €150 million (~$166 million) fine in 2019 for abusing its dominant position in the online search advertising market.
