The F 125!, Mercedes-Benz systematically implementing
his vision for driving with zero emissions, highlighting the
potential of hydrogen (H2) as fuel of the future. F 125 Concept!
Making its debut in Frankfurt has a range of 1,000
km!
The revolutionary concept F 125!, Mercedes-Benz launches
the first product with a focus on sustainability as the ultimate
highlight of this anniversary year. Reflecting the motto "125!
Years of Innovation ", the concept of electric propulsion
technology shows potential for hydrogen and large-sized sedan
range, comfortable and luxurious.
F 125! is powered by a plug-in F-CELL HYBRID, which
consists of a hydrogen-powered fuel cell and lithium-sulfur battery
pack of high performance. Hydrogen is stored in a new type of tank,
integrated directly into the vehicle structure.
"When it comes to driving, there is only one number to
note - a thousand. This is the distance in miles that you can
browse in electric mode without stopping to refuel, "explains Dr.
Dieter Zetsche. "And with four-wheel electric motors integrated in
producing 313 hp no lack of driving pleasure." With lightweight
design and high proportion of carbon fiber, the four-seater sedan
offers sophisticated performance combined with exceptional
comfort.
The concepts of display, control and communications are
also new. "You could say that the F 125! It is a smartphone that
you can travel, "said Zetsche.
Besides the F 125 concept!, Mercedes-Benz is presenting
five world premieres in Frankfurt: the new generation B-Class, the
concept B-Class E-Cell Plus - an electrically powered vehicle with
extended range almost ready for production - and three roadsters:
SLS AMG, SLK 55 AMG and SLK 250 CDI. The new generation M-Class
will also be unveiled for the first time in
Frankfurt.
