Hello! In this article I will present a method to
streamline 2D scrolling menus and applications in devices with
older or weaker specifications.
2D applications are those in the form of the page, on which you can scroll through web browsers for example.
The system is Android factory set to use 2D processor to scroll pages. This setting works best on all Android devices and the best I refer to a balance between power consumption and processing speed.
In some cases, transferring tasks to the 2D GPU (Graphic Processing Unit - GPU) can streamline menus and 2D applications, leaving CPU other tasks.
This setting really makes rapid drop but presents a disadvantage, forcing 2D GPU rendering applications will lead to higher energy consumption.

For starters, make sure you open developer options. You
can find here how to activate them.
1. If you open developer settings, go
to Settings and scroll down and in the subcategory SYSTEM
, Touch developer
2. If not activated, touch the
top-right switch for activation (1). The following message will
appear, which you must answer with Yes (2)
3. In the new list, scroll down until
you find the option "Force GPU rendering 2D"
I recommend you enable other options in the list because the
user can lead to problems. If you see no difference after normal
use, you can disable the option, as I said, some people notice
differences, some not.
