Decisions

You run

and I – impatiently – wait

for you to call my name once again

from the distance

before the thunder enters your mind

before you collapse inside

Someone else’s arms

and you smother the last burning flame

of my love for you

It’s raining

and the skies wash away unspoken sins,

the salty tears from my face

I look up and still wonder

Is anyone hearing me now

Probably not//

But I wait in the rain

until the trees are not shaking anymore

between desire and fear

paralysis and movement

A decision lies upon my chest

It’s been latent for a while now

but I can now feel it chocking me

Words come back from somewhere

inside my stomach

I hear now exactly what I don’t want to know//

Forgive and forget

Or remember and suffer
