Because i said that i will come back with an opinion regarding [rec] 3.

In the other post i mentioned that [rec] 3 was directed by Paco Plaza. And that Paco left his imprint in the “war” of the zombies. Now the description given by IMDB is that these aren`t at all zombies but the persons have a “strange illness”.

Now the plot is this: at a wedding the “strange illness” occurs right when the people are having most of their fun, and as usual, the relatives begin to get a little bit off the grid (drunk).

Keeping in mind IMDB`s description, i will have to say that it`s quite ok how they put it, because at one point the father that wedded the couple mentioned that “the Genesis is stating”.

So, after seeing [rec] 1 and 2, you might think if this is the genesis then this is the place where the little girl that was mentioned in the tapes in the attic of the building in [rec] 1+2. But it`s not. Keeping an open mind, this genesis can start wherever it wants due to the fact that it`s a beginning from the point of view of the persons that haven`t take part of the building incidents.

Without mentioning anymore the first parts, i will continue with [rec] 3.

You have to see how the human interactions are – real and vivid, and how this is mixed with the action when the “illness” occurs. The bride (one of the main characters) seems to remind you of Mila in the first Resident Evil. You`ll know what i mean when you watch it.

I will give credit to the forced cam shots because they seem real but i can assume only that no one even will record a wedding or anything else like this. The cuts are a bit forced, giving you a headache at the end. Too many gilts, too fast the movements, but this is another imprint of Paco.

This movie make it clear to anyone that love conquers all, well, until the end when you just want to shout “what the hell!” or “come on!”. But this is a Spanish movie, not American, so happy endings are not our cup of cake. Yeeeey!

I must admit that it`s ok to watch, but i don`t think that you`ll want to rewatch it.
